Secondary One Student Support Scheme
Secondary schools and primary schools are very different in terms of curriculum, learning methods, and school life. Transitioning into a new learning environment requires a period of adjustment.
To help new students adapt to secondary school life as soon as possible and enjoy their learning at our school, we organize a bridging course and orientation program for Secondary 1 students during the summer vacation before the school year starts.
Secondary One Bridging Programme
A comprehensive bridging program is designed for first-year secondary students
Students can learn more about subjects that are not available in primary school
Students can acquire more effective learning methods
Students can be better prepared for some courses taught in English
Course content:
Chinese, English, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Computer, STEAM
Secondary One Orientation Week
The program allows new students to get to know their class teachers, classmates who will accompany them for years, and the campus where they will spend many years of their learning life before the school year starts.
Students learn about school rules and discipline, which will help them have a more relaxed and enjoyable campus life in the future.
The program helps students develop self-awareness, such as understanding their own personality and potential, as well as establishing good interpersonal communication skills.
It also helps students develop appropriate learning methods and set the right goals early on, preparing them for the HKDSE examination and university admission in the future.
Program content:
Campus orienteering, school rules introduction, " P.A.T.H.S. to Adulthood” course, , a full-day camp at CUHK.
This allows S1 students to set goals early, work hard together, and grow together.
