IT in Education
The "IT in Education Team" of our school promotes, encourages and supports the use of e-learning resources in various KLAs, with self-contained devices, to develop a school-based hybrid model of learning and teaching.
Our school applies for the Community Care Fund and the Quality Education Fund for students in need, and purchases tablets, styluses and other accessories. So far, nearly half of our students have their own devices for learning. There are also more than ten classrooms in the school equipped with interactive electronic whiteboards to promote interaction between teachers and students in the classroom.
In addition, teachers of our school regularly participate in on-campus and off-campus training to grasp the trend of promoting learning and teaching through e-learning in the education sector in recent years. Teachers of various subjects also produce a number of online preview and review courseware for students to enhance students’ self-learning ability. Introducing e-learning elements into the classroom can enhance learning motivation and help students to collaborate with their peers in and out of the classroom.
Information literacy is also an important part of our school's implementation of e-learning. Therefore, our school organizes "Information Literacy Seminar" and "Information Literacy Class Teacher Class" every year to teach students to become responsible digital citizens.
Our school will continue to research and try a variety of e-learning learning and teaching strategies. In addition to enhancing learning effectiveness, students’ learning will become more personal and mobile, so as to cultivate students’ ability of lifelong learning.
